I always know when I’m photographing an Apaiser bathroom that I’m going to get some nice shots, their bath ware is so sculptural. Bathrooms can be quite difficult to photograph as they are often in small spaces and have very reflective surfaces. I usually have to rely on the ambient light (as I have here) to illuminate the room. There’s usually some burning and dodging work done on the RAW file in post production to bring the most out of the image.
I went along to the Adobe Magazine Awards night in the River Room at Crown last Friday evening. Abode Magazine by Think Publishing has done amazingly well in the relatively short time it has been published and this was supported by the big turn out on the night.
I would like to congratulate two of my best clients, Steve Taylor, from Creative Outdoor Solutions and Digby Roberts from Goldfish Pools and Landscapes who both received awards on the night in recognition of their great work. Three of Steve’s designs are featured here and Digby built the beautiful white tiled pool we see here.
Unfortunately my entry only received a runner up prize in the Landscape Photography section, but I still think the pics look pretty good.
It’s always exciting meeting and working with new clients. I recently had the pleasure to work with Lisa and Caroline from Interior Living a boutique interior design and decorating team in Melbourne. We photographed both residential and commercial projects, as well as their warehouse, Make Me, where they make their bespoke furniture. The black and white shot here is from the warehouse.
